How to Make Your Listing Stand Out: Accent and How It Differs from TOP

You post a listing — a bike, a stroller, a set of winter tyres — and it immediately gets lost among dozens of almost identical cards. You can push it up with TOP, but paid placement lasts 3 days, and for an item worth €30–50 that jump often doesn't pay off. For exactly this case ozna.sk has a separate tool — Accent. It doesn't move the listing up; it makes the card itself more noticeable right where it is.

What Accent is

Accent is a visual highlight of your listing card. When it's on, your card in listings and search results gets a subtle background tint, a coloured outline and a price shown in an accent colour.

The listing's position doesn't change — it stays exactly where it was. Neighbouring cards look as usual, and yours stands out with colour as the buyer scrolls the list. So Accent affects only the look of the card, not its place in the list — that's the key difference from TOP.

How Accent differs from TOP

Both features sit in the same “Promote your listing” block when you edit a listing, but they do different things.

TOP moves the listing to the top of the list for 3 days — a fast way to get in front of everyone who opens the category in the coming days.

Accent leaves the listing in place but highlights the card with colour for 7 days — visibility without a position boost.

The difference point by point:

  • What it affects: Accent — the look of the card; TOP — the position in the list.
  • Listing position: with Accent it doesn't change; with TOP it moves to the top.
  • Visuals: Accent — background tint, outline, price colour; TOP — a TOP badge and strong highlighting.
  • Duration of one activation: Accent — 7 days; TOP — 3 days.

In short: TOP is about your place in the list, Accent is about how you look in that place. A single listing can have only one level at a time: turning on Accent while TOP is active (and vice versa) replaces the previous one. Switching between them takes one click.

When to choose Accent

Accent is your option if:

  • the item is inexpensive and TOP doesn't pay off financially;
  • the sale isn't a one-day thing — the item may look for a buyer for a week or two, and visibility for 7 days is more useful than a 3-day spike;
  • the category has many similar listings — for example, strollers of the same model or identical winter tyres, where cards blur together;
  • you want the listing to stand out quietly, without feeling like aggressive advertising.

When to choose TOP

TOP fits better when:

  • the sale is urgent and you need a fast result;
  • the item is expensive — a car, electronics, real estate — where moving to the top pays for itself with one deal;
  • you need maximum reach in a short time.

Nothing stops you from combining them in turn: for example, start with Accent for a week and switch to TOP before the weekend.

How much it costs and how to turn it on

Accents are part of the paid Promotion plan as a monthly quota — 8 Accents per month. During ozna.sk beta testing the Promotion plan is completely free, so you get these 8 Accents a month at no charge — part of free listing on the platform during the beta.

Activation — three steps:

  1. Activate the Promotion plan on the pricing page (free during the beta).
  2. Open the listing for editing: “User account” → “Listings” → select an active listing → “Edit”.
  3. Turn on Accent: on the last editing step find the “Promote your listing” block and click “Activate” in the “Accent” row.

One Accent is deducted from your quota. The highlight lasts 7 calendar days, then it's removed automatically and the listing looks ordinary again. As long as you have free Accents in your quota, you can activate again.

FAQ

Does Accent change the listing's position in the list?

No. The listing stays in the same place. Only the look of the card changes — the tint, the outline and the price colour. Position is handled by TOP.

Can I have Accent and TOP at the same time on one listing?

No. A listing always has only one promotion level. If you turn on Accent while TOP is active, it replaces TOP, and vice versa.

What happens to Accent if I sell or remove the listing?

Accent ends together with the listing and doesn't transfer to another listing.

Does Accent guarantee more views and calls?

No. Accent makes the card more noticeable for whoever sees it in the list, but it doesn't promise a specific increase in views or calls — the result depends on the item, the price, the photos and how the listing is written.

In short

If the item is inexpensive and isn't selling on day one, you don't have to pay for a push to the top. Accent highlights the card with colour for a week without touching its position — and during the beta it costs nothing.
